Creative Workshops

Creativity is at the heart of everything we do at Creative Connections. Our workshops offer opportunities to try something new, develop skills, meet others and enjoy the many benefits that creativity can bring.

We offer a varied programme of one-off workshops alongside regular weekly, fortnightly and monthly sessions, with a wide range of prices to help make creativity accessible to as many people as possible. Our programme is always evolving and includes crafts such as crochet, painting, bookbinding, wirework, floristry, fused glass, macramé, collage, printing, slow stitch and much more.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, an experienced maker or simply curious to try something different, you’ll find welcoming opportunities to explore your creativity in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Creativity, Connection & Wellbeing

As a non-profit community creative hub, our mission goes beyond simply teaching creative skills. We believe creativity can play an important role in supporting health, wellbeing, connection and stronger communities.

Alongside our general workshop programme, we develop and deliver dedicated Creative Health sessions, including our highly popular funded Art & Soul programme. These sessions are designed to support connection – connection with ourselves, with each other and with the wider community.

Our Creative Health approach places the emphasis on play, exploration and the creative process rather than the finished product. There’s no pressure to be “good at art” or produce something perfect. Instead, participants are encouraged to experiment, be curious, explore materials and enjoy the experience of creating.

We also work with local public health partners to offer referral pathways into selected sessions, helping to ensure that people who may benefit most from creative connection and wellbeing support are able to access opportunities.

Whether you’re joining us to learn a new craft, meet like-minded people, build confidence, reconnect with your creativity or simply enjoy some time for yourself, you’ll always receive a warm welcome.
